Dynamiters’ Kisilevich KIJHL’s Rookie of the Week

Adam Kisilevich provided the Kimberley Dynamiters with great goaltending, earning him Kootenay International Junior Hockey League (KIJHL) Rookie of the Week honours for the period ending March 29.

Kisilevich’s efforts helped the Dynamiters defeat the Fernie Ghostriders in five games to win the Eddie Mountain Division and advance to the Kootenay Conference Final.

The Edmonton native earned two wins after stopping 49 of 51 shots for a 0.94 goals against average and a .961 save percentage.

“Adam was excellent all series. He gives us a chance to win every time he starts,” said Dynamiters head coach-general manager Derek Stuart, adding that he liked Kisilevich’s “calmness and ability to make hard saves look easy.”

In seven KIJHL championship playoff appearances, Kisilevich is 7-0 with a 1.12 GAA and a .952 SP.
