The Regional District of East Kootenay (RDEK) is in the process of developing a new bylaw to introduce Development Cost Charges (known as DCCs) for the East Side Lake Windermere Water System.

DCCs are levied against new development to fund growth-related infrastructure, which in this case, is water infrastructure.

To help introduce the bylaw, including some of the key content, and to be able to answer questions residents or developers may have about the bylaw or the process, we will be holding an Open House: Tuesday, May 26 from 4 to 7 p.m. at Windermere Community Hall.

It is a drop-in format, so people can pop by anytime between 4 and 7 p.m.
