It’s the time of the year again, when preparations for the upcoming Kimberley Art in the Garden Tour are in full swing.
This year’s event will be the ninth garden tour hosted by the Kimberley Arts Council, and will
take place on Sunday, June 28, from 10am – 4pm.
Organizers are very excited to have been able to secure six beautifully unique gardens again.
Every single one reflects the personal vision and passion of the owners, as well as the love and labour they have put into their spaces. The different styles of gardens are guaranteed to inspire and wow visitors.
In addition to the six new gardens, participants have the opportunity to visit the Kimberley Edible Garden & Greenhouse (K.E.G.G) and the well-loved Nina’s Hillside Garden once again.
Like last year, K.E.G.G. will have some of their very knowledgeable gardeners available for the day, to answer some of your gardening questions. Roland at Nina’s Hillside Garden has agreed to start his open garden season on the weekend of the garden tour, to give garden lovers another opportunity to stop in and enjoy this one of a kind garden gem.

The Art in the Garden Tour wouldn’t be complete without the visual and performing artist taking part in the event. Visitors will encounter a number of visual artists in the gardens, demonstrating and showcasing their works and talent. Kimberley singer and guitarist Gerry Schneider will be sharing his joy for music throughout the day.
As in the past, ticket holders are invited to stop by at the studio at Centre 64, to visit and mingle with fellow tour participants, while enjoying refreshments and locally made chocolates. Here they will have the opportunity to enter their name for the draw of a number of amazing door prizes, generously donated by our local business community.
A very exciting addition to this year’s event is the performance of the T3’s & The Sonics, a
recently formed combination of well-known local musicians who will perform in the new outdoor entertainment area adjacent to Centre 64. The concert will start shortly after 4pm, and is open to garden tour ticket holders as well as the public (by donation). Space is limited, and event organizers are encouraging people to come early.
Art in the Garden Tour tickets are available at Centre 64, Top Crop & Top Crop Too, as well as
The Grater Good (cash only).
This Art in the Garden Tour would not be possible without the continued support of the following organizations and businesses: Columbia Basin Trust, Top Crop & Top Crop Too, Casey’s Greenhouse, Bavarian Home Hardware, Art Gallery Kimberley, Mountain Grass Gallery & Bistro and The Grater Good.
