Outside of the Sparwood Coal Miner Days activities this weekend, the Sparwood Fire Department was proud to present the cheques from the 2026 Battle of the Bravest Charity Hockey Game to our well deserving recipients.

Angel Flight East Kootenay was presented with $21,891 and the Elk Valley Suicide Task Force received $3,671 (total event raised $25,562).

Thanks again to our amazing community and sponsors who made this event a great success. We look forward to the 2027 game to raise more funds for deserving organizations.
