BCHC releases 2026-27 season information
The British Columbia Hockey Conference (BCHC) has officially released the regular season schedule, divisional alignment and playoff format for its inaugural 2026-27 Junior A season.
The upcoming campaign will feature 22 member clubs competing in a 50-game regular season schedule, with each team playing 25 home games and 25 road games.
In total, 550 regular season games will be played across British Columbia.
Regular season highlights
The inaugural BCHC season begins on Thursday, September 10, when the Richmond Sockeyes host the Delta Ice Hawks.
The regular season concludes on Saturday, February 28, 2027.
The 2026 BCHC Prospects Game: Tuesday, November 24 at Sungod Arena, hosted by the Delta Ice Hawks.
Holiday Break: December 21-28, with regular season play resuming on December 29.
Divisional Alignment
For the 2026-27 season, the 22 BCHC member clubs are organized into four geographic divisions:
Kootenay Division (six teams): Beaver Valley Nitehawks, Columbia Valley Rockies, Fernie Ghostriders, Grand Forks Border Bruins, Kimberley Dynamiters, Nelson Leafs.
Interior Division (five teams): Kamloops Storm, Merritt Centennials, Quesnel River Rush, Revelstoke Grizzlies, Williams Lake Mustangs.
Valley Division (five teams): Chilliwack Jets, Langley Trappers, Osoyoos Coyotes, Princeton Posse, Summerland Jets.
Mainland Division (six teams): Burnaby Steelers, Coastal Tsunami, Delta Ice Hawks, Port Coquitlam Trailblazers, Richmond Sockeyes, Ridge Meadows Flames.
Playoff structure
The top four teams from each division will qualify for the 2027 BCHC Playoffs, with four best-of-seven rounds determining the Provincial Junior A Champion.
Teams will play within their divisions for the first two playoff rounds. In the League Semi-Finals, the Mainland Division champion will face the Valley Division champion, while the Interior Division champion will meet the Kootenay Division champion. The winners of those series will advance to the 2027 Mowat Cup Final.

Division Semi-Finals: Friday, March 5, 2027;
Division Finals: Friday, March 19, 2027;
League Semi-Finals: Friday, April 2, 2027;
Mowat Cup Final: Friday, April 16, 2027.
