Obituary of Wesley John Tallman
Wesley John Tallman
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Wesley John Tallman, who passed away peacefully on July 2, 2026, at the age of 76, with his loved ones by his side.
Wes was born on September 23, 1949, in Meadow Lake, Saskatchewan, to Lester and Gladys (Young) Tallman.
Over the years, Wes worked in many different professions, but in 1985 he found his true calling when he attended the Western Canadian School of Auctioneering and became an auctioneer. He went on to travel extensively throughout Alberta and British Columbia, captivating crowds with his unmistakable auctioneer’s chant.
In his younger years, Wes had a passion for horses, rodeo, music, and, above all, his children. While his rodeo days eventually came to an end, his love of horses, music, and his family remained with him throughout his life.
Wes will be lovingly remembered by his partner, Lois; his daughters, Joanne (Zane) and Krista (Wade); his sons, Davin and Nathan (Holly); his cherished grandchildren, Karli, Shane, Ryan, Declyn, and Eloise; his great-grandchildren, Bryar, Byrklee, Oliver, and Wren; his siblings, Sharon (Jim) and Harvey (Veronica); and Lois’s daughters Nicole (Tony), Amy (Rory) and families.
Wes was predeceased by his parents, Lester and Gladys; his sisters, Verna and Brenda; his brothers, Oren and Gary; and his beloved grandson, Dakota, who welcomed him home.
In keeping with Wes’s wishes, no funeral service will be held.
