Construction set to begin on Woodcarver Park

After years of planning, fundraising and community support, construction of Woodcarver Park, a lasting tribute to beloved Radium Hot Springs artist and woodcarver Rolf Heer, is officially set to begin the week of August 24.

The project has been several years in the making and has required extensive design, engineering, approvals, fundraising and collaboration.

The Radium Village Arts & Culture Society has worked alongside the Village of Radium Hot Springs, International Timberframes, professionals and community members to bring the vision closer to reality.

Major funding support for Woodcarver Park has been provided by the Province of British Columbia through the Destination Development Fund and the Columbia Basin Trust, along with additional support from donors, businesses and individuals who believe in preserving this important piece of Radium’s history.

Stay tuned for updates as things officially get underway!
