Foul play ruled out

The BC Coroners Service (BCCS) has confirmed the identity of a woman who was found deceased in the Fairmont Hot Springs area on Jan. 24 and report that foul play has been ruled out.

The BCCS reports the deceased was Cheyenne Michelle Mason-Lalonde, aged 20, a resident of Fairmont Hot Springs.

Ms. Mason-Lalonde was found by a friend late in the evening of Jan. 24, near Riverside Golf Course in Fairmont. She had been reported missing to Columbia Valley RCMP Detachment a few hours earlier. She was deceased at the scene.

The BC Coroners Service and RCMP continue to investigate this death. Foul play has now been ruled out.

The family of Ms. Mason-Lalonde has been notified of her death.
