Lindsey Armitage running for Elkford Mayor
District of Elkford voters will have a mayoral battle on Oct. 17.
Lindsey Armitage announced Sept. 9 she is running for Mayor of Elkford, taking on incumbent Mayor Steve Fairbairn.
“This is something I’ve put a lot of thought into, and while saying it out loud is equal parts exciting and terrifying, I’m ready to put my name forward,” Armitage said on social media.
“I care deeply about this community, the people who call it home, and the lifestyle that makes Elkford such a special place to live. I believe there’s a lot to be excited about when we look at what comes next for our community and I want to be part of that conversation.
“There will be lots more to come about why I’m running, the experience I bring to the table, and what I believe good leadership should look like,” she said. “Here we go, Elkford!”
