The 2026 General Local Election will be held on October 17, with your first opportunity to participate in Advance Voting on October 7, from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.

The next Advance Voting date will be October 13.

Advance Voting locations include:

Regional District of East Kootenay (RDEK) Electoral Area E Electors:

• Wasa Community Hall, 6145 Wasa School Rd., Wasa

RDEK Electoral Area F Electors:

• Fairmont Lions Den, 5003 Hot Springs Road, Fairmont Hot Springs

General Voting locations include:

RDEK Electoral Area E Electors:

• Wasa Community Hall, 6145 Wasa School Rd., Wasa

and

• Kimberley Arts at Centre 64, 64 Deer Park Ave., Kimberley

RDEK Electoral Area F Electors:

• Fairmont Lions Den, 5003 Hot Springs Road, Fairmont Hot Springs

and

• Columbia Valley Chamber of Commerce – Lions Hall, 651 Hwy 93/95, Invermere

Areas E and F are the only RDEK areas requiring an election as Areas A, B, C and G have been decided through acclamation (only one candidate coming forward).
