It is with great pleasure that the organizing committee of the 2013 East Kootenay Early Years Conference invites you to an event that aims to deliver an inspiring and educational program.

The conference is co-hosted by East Kootenay Success By 6 and East Kootenay Children First. Our organizing committee is made up of regional service providers who work directly with children and families.

Committee members have worked to ensure this to be an educational yet fun conference.
Our goal for the conference is to empower, educate and connect participants. We have collectively put together a program that will provide opportunities for professional development for those who work with young children and families in Early Childhood Development (ECD) and Early Childhood Education (ECE) settings, family resource programs, primary school grade educators, community development and other community programs.

The conference will also be of interest to parents, grandparents, caregivers and those looking to make a positive impact in children’s lives. It has been many years since an Early Childhood Development conference has been offered in the East Kootenay and we are excited to invite you to come and discover how to “Imagine, Nurture and Grow” with us this April.

The conference runs Friday, April 26 from 6 to 9 p.m. and Saturday, April 27 from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.  All of the event activities will take place at the Kimberley Conference and Athlete Training Centre.
