Funeral announced for Ed Kluczny
One of the most successful athletes in Columbia Valley history will be remembered August 16 in Radium Hot Springs.
The family of Ed Kluczny have announced his funeral service will be at 2:30 p.m. on Friday, August 16 at Canadian Martyrs Catholic Church in Radium.
A luncheon is to follow at the Invermere Seniors Hall, 1309 – 14th Street in Invermere.
An Invermere resident, Ed was a distinguished Second World War veteran having served in the Royal Canadian Air Force.
He was also a long-time key member of the Columbia Valley’s contingent to the BC Seniors Games and was quite likely one of the most successful senior athletes in the game’s history – compiling almost 40 medals – mostly in road and power walking, over the course of 24 games.
