Pinewood student’s work selected by fire fighters
The Cranbrook Fire and Emergency Services fire fighters are pleased to announce that Kaylie Feathering’s 2013 Burn Awareness Week Poster was selected to grace the pages of the 2014 Cranbrook Fire Fighters’ Burn Fund Calendar.
Kaylie’s poster was selected out of all the local 2013 Burn Awareness Week poster entries. Kaylie’s poster can be seen in February as Burn Awareness Week is held annually during this month. All other photos selected for the calendar showcase the surrounding area.
This year’s calendar has School District No. 5 and No. 6’s class schedule, Kootenay Ice and Kimberley Dynamiters home game schedule as well as many local events.
Kaylie’s Pinewood Elementary School class was presented with a pizza party from Canadian 2 for 1 Pizza to celebrate her selection.
All proceeds from the calendar will go to the British Columbia Professional Fire Fighters Burn Fund. Calendars are only $10 and can be purchased at Cranbrook Farmers Market, City Hall, Western Financial Place, The Townsman, Cranbrook and District Chamber of Commerce and the Fire Hall.
