TSB investigates derailment at Invermere
The Transportation Safety Board of Canada (TSB) has sent an investigator to the site of a coal train derailment that occurred this morning (Nov. 25) at Invermere.

Nineteen cars reportedly left the tracks but remained upright and no coal was spilled into Lake Windermere. No one was injured in the derailment, which occurred in the area down the hill from the Eddie Mountain Memorial Arena.
The TSB, an independent agency that investigates marine, pipeline, railway and aviation transportation occurrences, states it will gather information and assess the incident.
Canadian Pacific Railway has not yet issued a public statement on the derailment.
