Gloria had a long and enjoyable life living in Kimberley all of her childhood and adult life. She enjoyed all the amenities the Kootenays offered including camping, fishing and boating. Gloria lived in her own home until her recent illness. Throughout the years she enjoyed travelling and playing cards with her friends and was a lifelong swimmer.
Gloria is survived by her two daughters Darlene (Ron) Turner and Sheila Lorentz, her son Tom (Debbi) Hunt, grandchildren Lindsey, Ashley, Daniel, Connor, Sebastien, MaKayla, Angela, Mason, Emily, Melissa, Carmen and Ian. She was also loved for many years by her nieces, nephews and friends whom all called her “Nan”.
A private family Interment will take place prior to the memorial service. Gloria’s memorial service will be held on Wednesday, December 18, 2013 at 2:00 pm at McPherson Funeral Home in Kimberley. In lieu of flowers, those wishing to make a memorial donation in Gloria’s honour may do so to: Summit Community Services Society Senior’s Program, Suite 100, 125 – 10th Avenue South, Cranbrook, British Columbia, V1C 2N1.
