Canal Days fun returns June 6-8
The annual Canal Days festivities return June 6 to 8 in the Village of Canal Flats.
Actually, the fun begins Wednesday, June 4 at 7 p.m. when the Talent Show runs at the Canal Flats Civic Centre, followed by a 7 p.m. bingo Thursday evening.
Canal Days really gets rocking Friday during he family dance, which starts at 7 p.m.
Saturday dawns with a pancake breakfast from 8-10 a.m., followed by the parade at 11 a.m.
Festivities in and around the community centre get rolling at noon, including vendors, dunk tank, a magician, pie baking contest and a chance to splat the mayor with a pie.
As usual there will be a cook shack, beverage garden and all sorts of contests and activities, as well as the ball tournament.
The Saturday night dance, from 10 p.m. to 2 a.m., features the Matt Blais Band.
