Cranbrook wakeboarders end season on high notes

Three Cranbrook wakeboarders have wrapped up their season on a winning note at the Alberta Provincials.
Colden Thompson advanced from the first heat to the finals in the Open Division, which features advanced riders of all ages. The youngest competitor in the division, Thompson put in two impressive runs and took third place overall.

The 17-year old has finished in the top three in every competition he has entered in this, his first year of competitive riding. Earlier this summer, he won a bronze medal in Junior Men’s at the Canadian National Wakeboard Championships.
Brothers Ryder and Dagen Duczek also competed at the Provincials.
Ryder won first place in the U-11 Division, while Dagen took first in the U-8 Division.

Both brothers ended the season with two first place and one second place finishes and already have their sights set on next season.
The Provincials were held in Alix Lake, near Red Deer, and featured over 40 riders from the three western provinces.
The trio ride and train at Tie Lake.
