On July 27, Creston RCMP received a report of theft from a residence in Wynndel. Sometime during the previous year, a significant amount of jewelry was taken from the home with an estimated loss of over $50,000.

The jewelry had been stored in their boxes but the suspect took the time to repack and replace all the boxes so as not to arouse suspicion. As a result, the theft went unnoticed for an unknown period of time.

Police are looking for public assistance in identifying the person or persons responsible for this theft.

Anyone with any information is asked to call the Creston RCMP at 250-428-9313, or remain anonymous by calling Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
