Deputy Chief David Lind of Cranbrook Fire and Emergency Services advised that crews were on scene of Tuesday’s fire on Baker Street yesterday afternoon (April 25).  They removed some debris in order to enable the investigation to get underway.  It is a joint investigation between the fire department, the RCMP and several insurance adjusters.

Lind indicated they were hopeful the investigation would wrap up yesterday afternoon.  He also indicated that there will likely be further site remediation work taking place today (Thursday).
Cranbrook Photo was open for business yesterday.  The Hearing Clinic remains closed.
Baker Street between 8th Avenue and 9th Avenue South was closed to vehicle traffic.   All other businesses along that block of Baker Street remain accessible by foot traffic.
