July in the East Kootenay
July is the month many of us dream of in the heart of winter. We yearn for the longer days, the warmth and all that the top of summer brings.
This past July was more like June in terms of the weather. It began hot and dry and forest fires raged in some parts of our lovely region.
It seemed like a long, hot, smoky summer was in store but then the rain and cooler weather came.
This month’s collection of images of life occurring in the East Kootenay was culled from a variety of trips through the region.
We have images from: Canal Flats and area; Cranbrook and area; Windermere; Baynes Lake/Elko areas; Kimberley and area; Radium Hot Springs and area; Fernie and area; Moyie Lake; and Skookumchuck.
