Two-vehicle collision sends two to hospital
Cranbrook RCMP responded to five motor vehicle accidents during the course of the day on January 5; the most serious being a head-on collision involving two vehicles that sent two people to hospital.
At approximately 4:50 p.m. Cranbrook RCMP was called to a motor vehicle accident at the off ramp to Highway 95A. A Chevy Tracker heading northbound lost control on the slippery highways and careened head-on into a southbound pickup truck.
Both occupants of the Tracker were taken to hospital with serious but non-life threatening injuries. The occupants of the pickup truck were not injured.
Cranbrook RCMP is continuing the investigation into this crash but road conditions appear to be the contributing factor.
Cranbrook RCMP is reminding motorists that road conditions can change in an instant. Please leave yourself extra time to get where you need to go safely.
