Cranbrook RCMP Report
The following is a synopsis of calls received by Cranbrook RCMP for the week of (from 6 a.m.) March 7 to 6 a.m., March 14.
The detachment received 130 calls for service throughout the week.
Among the calls police handled:
One Immediate Roadside prohibitions / two Impaired Drivers / two – 24 hour suspensions (all alcohol related);
Four Collisions/one Hit and Run – minor damage and minor injuries;
Eight Mental Health calls – two apprehended in total;
Two Assault complaints: one domestic in nature;
Nine Thefts reported: two bicycle thefts / two shoplifters;
Six fraud complaints: One mail scam/ two credit card identification thefts/ two local (a male was successful at scamming $50 from a local citizen but tried it again with someone else however unsuccessful – this is related to a news release from last week.)
Five Drug Seizures – mostly marijuana, one psilocybin (mushrooms).
