Obituary for Catlyn Lincon Docherty

Catlyn Lincon DOCHERTY

June 18, 1989 ~ May 24, 2020 (age 30)

It is with the deepest sadness that we announce the passing of Catlyn Lincon Docherty, loving father, son, brother, nephew, uncle, and friend. He grew his wings May 24, 2020. He was born on June 18, 1989 to Kate Martin and Rick Docherty in Red Deer, Alberta.

Catlyn had a special way with children; a big kid himself, every single child who met him was instantly infatuated with his goofy personality and knew they had found a buddy. His family and children were the most important part of his life.

Catlyn’s laugh and personality could cheer you up on the worst of days. With a love for cooking, he was always happy in the kitchen, working with food. He made his way all over BC and Alberta in his short time, creating a large group of family and friends. Catlyn loved skateboarding, the outdoors, any kind of project, and tinkering on cars with his Uncle Hartly. He had a huge heart and would help anyone when they needed it.

Till the end of time, Catlyn will be missed dearly by all who knew him.

Catlyn is survived by his mother Kate (Jay) Martin and father Rick Docherty, his precious children Jaxxson and Jade Docherty, his sister Cayla (Tyler) Hickey with daughters Sierra and Caydence, and his brother Rhys Nygaard. Also left to mourn his passing, his loving girlfriend Stephanie Little with sons Josh, Jayden, and Riley, his Uncle Hartly and Auntie Christina with their son Makale and daughters Emmy, Hazel and Mackenzie, Aunt Sheri O’Connor and Uncle Shawn, his Uncle Lance Marriot and Grandma Brenda Docherty as well as many more cousins and family members.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations towards a Trust Fund for his son are greatly appreciated.
