Obituary for Edith Gref
EDITH GREF (SORGER)
MAY 15, 1932 – OCTOBER 16, 2020
It is with sadness that the family of Edith Gref announces her passing after a brief battle with cancer, Friday October 16 2020, at the age of 88 years. Predeceased by her loving husband George of 66 years. Survived by her brother Ede Sorger. Edith will be lovingly remembered by her children George (Jo Ann) of Cornwall, Ontario and Grace (Bob) of Kelowna, BC. She will also be fondly remembered by her two grandchildren, Katharina and Michael.
Retiring over 30 years ago they moved to Kimberely to ski, hike and share their love of the mountains. Mom was an avid gardener; the basement was always full of starter seeds long before the snow melted. An accomplished seamstress, with a natural talent for design, she could create an entire outfit in an afternoon. Partnering with dad on all his business ventures she was the the one who kept it all balanced.
She was truly the heart of our family and we will cherish her memory. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
