Barbara was born on April 22, 1945, in Cranbrook B.C. to Mary Dudley (nee Bardgett) and Leo Conran Williams.

She will be remembered for her kindness, sense of humor, generosity, love of family, and for the lasting impact she had on everyone who knew her.

Barbara is survived by her children and grandchildren, and by many extended family members and dear friends.

She is also survived by her maternal siblings Donna Lemay, Sherry Sebastian, Gordon Sebastian, and Kenny Dudley; and by her paternal siblings Marty Williams, Robert Williams, Gloria Williams, and Peter Williams.

Barbara was predeceased by her husband Patrick Hughes, her life partner Paul Viser, son William (Billy) Dudley, and her siblings David Williams, Chris Williams, and Mark Jr. Sebastian.

In accordance with her wishes, there will be no formal funeral or memorial services. The family will gather privately for a memorial lunch to celebrate and remember her life.
