Erika Braun

Erika moved from Hamburg, Germany, with her husband Alfred in 1962. They relocated to Dawson Creek in 1974 to pursue a career in hobby farming. During this time, Erika also dedicated herself to being a homemaker for the elderly, where she formed numerous friendships.

In 1994, they moved to Wardner and continued their hobby farm, which included a tree farm. Erika had a passion for gardening and taking care of her peacocks. She was an extraordinary friend to everyone she met and never hesitated to offer help, whether financially or otherwise.

In 2015, they moved to Cranbrook, where they settled into their final retirement. Erika cared for her husband Alfred in his later years, fulfilling her commitment to him.

Erika leaves behind numerous relatives in Germany as well as a lifelong network of friends in Cranbrook, which she considered her home. She will always be remembered for her kindness and caring nature, treating everyone with compassion and without judgment.

Erika is survived by her sons Tom Braun, Tim (Shelley) Braun, grandchildren Kienan (Nathalie) Braun, Jessica (Chris) Braun Cormack, and Shaleen Braun, great grandchildren Beckham Braun, Fox Cormack, Leroy Braun.

Erika was predeceased by her husband Alfred Braun and grandson Derrick Braun.
