Jim lived a life marked by strength, resilience, hard work, and dedication to his family and community. Born on August 14, 1936, he faced many hardships throughout his life, including being separated from his family at a young age and suffering memory loss connected to those early years. Despite the challenges he endured, Jim carried on with determination and courage.

Jim proudly served during the Korean War and later built a life through years of hard work in the logging industry with Langridge Logging. He was deeply involved in the Canal Flats community, serving on many local committees and generously giving his time wherever help was needed. Jim also loved hockey and spent many years coaching young players, sharing both his knowledge of the game and his belief in teamwork and discipline.

Above all else, Jim was a family man. He was the proud father of five children and helped raise four stepchildren, offering guidance, support, and love throughout their lives. His family will remember him for his strength, determination, sense of humor, and unwavering commitment to those he cared about.

He is survived by his sons Kevin, Reece, and Cody, daughters Trena, Wendy, Wanda, and Jackie, sister Donna, as well as his many grandkids and great-grandkids.
