Obituary of Solveig Alice Ekman
Solveig Alice Ekman, 92 of Invermere, died peacefully in her sleep on April 11, 2021, at Ivy House in Invermere.
Solvieg left Aland Island with two children in tow to join her husband in Canada in 1952, and settled in Alert Bay, B.C., before making it up to the valley in 1956.
Solveig is survived by her three children: Britt, Roger (Marion), and Robert (Donna), her grandchildren Kevin, Roger Jr, Angela, Susie, Katrina and Sam, great grandchildren Bobby, Alexandra, Eva, Raelie, Joel, Harlow and Cash, and her sister Margaretha of Sweden.
As per Solveig’s wishes, there will be no service.
