Zoe Eleanor GRAVELLE

Zoe (nee Blondeau) Gravelle died peacefully on May 26, 2022 in Kelowna, BC.  She was born on March 16, 1960 in North Battleford, SK.

Zoe was predeceased by her husband of 27 years, Mike in 2008, her mother Violet Blondeau, her father Mike Blondeau and her sister Ann Hall.  She is survived by her children, Heidi (Daice), Sarah and Shane; Grandchildren; Israel, Alan, Cohen and Michael; Siblings Brian, Claudette, Dawn & Maurice, many nieces, nephews, family and friends.

Zoe and Mike married in Grasmere, BC in 1982.  They raised their three children in Yaq̓it ʔa·knuqⱡi’it , where Zoe was a dedicated stay at home mom for much of their childhood.  Once returning to work Zoe dedicated many of her years of employment for Yaq̓it ʔa·knuqⱡi’it, ʔA·k̓aminna Logging, BC Hydro, North Coal, Nupqu etc.  She had a passion for working for the people and did so in various capacities including; Education & Health and Wellness with Yaq̓it ʔa·knuqⱡi’it.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Yaq̓it ʔa·knuqⱡi’it Administration Building on Wednesday June 1, 2022 with a feast to follow as per Zoe’s wishes.

The Gravelle Family would like to thank Dr. MacBeath, Dr. Rodrigue, the Elk Valley Hospital Staff, East Kootenay Regional Hospital and Kelowna General Hospital ICU and Thoracic for the wonderful care given to Zoe.  All flowers can be sent to Yaq̓it ʔa·knuqⱡi’it.
