Key City Theatre calls on artists to take part in Elizabeth Lake Art Challenge
In celebration of its 20th anniversary, Key City Theatre is calling all East Kootenay residents to enter the Elizabeth Lake Art Challenge. Using Elizabeth Lake Sanctuary in Cranbrook as inspiration, locals are invited to create a piece of art using whatever medium that tickles your fancy but remember to think outside the box! If your piece places first in the competition, you could win $500. Deadline for submissions is January 4, 2012 at noon. For more information, go to www.keycitytheatre.com.
The deadline for submissions for the Open Invitation Show at the Key City Gallery is coming quickly on Monday, October 17 at noon. This show gives artists from the community an opportunity to have their works showcased.
If you would like to participate, art can be dropped off at noon on Monday October 17. They also are encouraging all artists to attend and help promote the Opening Reception on October 19 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.
Not enough time to have a submission ready for the Open Invitation Show? Check out the annual “Affordable Art” show. All Art must be priced no more than $300.00 each. It’s that time of year when people are out looking for Christmas gifts! If you would like to participate art can be dropped off at noon on Monday November 14. If you submit your work, the presenters would like to request that you attend the reception on Wednesday, November 16 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. and help promote it.
Please be advised that all pieces entered into the shows cannot have been shown in the Key City Gallery before and all pieces must be for sale. For more, visit www.keycitytheatre.com.
