Rocky Mountain Art Escape, En Plein Air workshop

The Elkford Arts Council is proud to offer Rocky Mountain Art Escape, En Plein Air painting workshop September 12 and 13 with Doug Swinton.

Doug is the owner of Swinton’s Art Supplies in Calgary and a fantastic workshop instructor. He is also a well-known international artist, and has been featured in Southwest Art Magazine and Artist Magazine, Cowboy Country Magazine July 2012, Northlight Strokes of Genius 2012. He has co-owned Swinton’s art supplies in Calgary and he revels in teaching the ‘hey look what I just created.’ He passes that passion on to his students.

Doug says his art is like trying to hit a moving target. “Operating Alberta’s largest privately owned art facility has taught me more about art than I thought possible. Art is not a living: it’s living that’s art.”

Pre- registration is required. Spaces are filling up fast so don’t miss out on this amazing painting workshop. If you love to paint, the Rocky Mountains offer unlimited painting possibilities.

Early bird registration is $195 until August 12 and $225 after August 12.
