Show and Shine starts second quarter century
This year marks the 26th anniversary of the Columbia Valley Classics Autumn Show and Shine in Radium Hot Springs.
Things get rolling Friday, Sept. 18 with Rockin’ on Main from 4 to 8 p.m., while registration of the many hundreds of classic vehicles takes place from 7 to 9 p.m.
Don’t miss one of the valley’s most popular entertainers in Marty Beingessner & Friends as they perform live from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. beside the Radium Visitor Information Centre.
A pancake breakfast launches Saturday, from 7 to 10 a.m. at the Radium Seniors’ Hall, hosted the Radium Fire Department.
The Show and Shine runs from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Springs Golf Course driving range.
Don’t miss the always entertaining Blues Brothers Too, who will be performing from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the venue.
Rockin’ on Main continues Saturday, from noon to 4 p.m., complete with a market and live music courtesy Sheberdean & The Postmistress from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m.
The annual cruise to Invermere, which isn’t a car club sanctioned event, takes place at 4 p.m. Event organizers politely ask that car show participants follow traffic control and note that RCMP will be present and have zero tolerance for dangerous driving (burn outs etc.)
The event ends with a dance at the Invermere Curling Club.
