Fernie band Shred Kelly has made it to the top 10 of CBC Radio’s Tracks on Tracks competition, rising from a list of 200 potential bands from all over Canada.

“The whole Fernie community is really excited about this news and has great hopes that the band will be one of the three chosen to ride the train this June (Vancouver – Toronto for Toronto’s NxNe festival with events along the way),” stated Reel Canadian Film Fest/Fernie Indie Films committee member Keya White, adding she wants to encourage East Kootenay residents to get behind Shred Kelly and cast their votes. Deadline for the next competition is this Wednesday (May 9).
