Letter to the Editor
The Board of Directors from the Columbia Valley Arts Council, and the staff at Pynelogs, the cultural hub for the Columbia Valley, celebrated the second annual Invermere MusicFest on Sunday, August 3.
The festival was another huge success, bringing in several hundred festival-goers. A large portion of our audience this year was from out of town, which translates into tourism dollars for our valley businesses. A win-win situation for everyone!
Personally I would like to thank our sponsors who believed in this event and showed it in their support. The Columbia Valley is ready for an annual outdoor summer music festival. With our location related to Alberta and the East Kootenay, lakefront access, recreation playground and strong cultural influence, this Columbia Valley and this festival is sure to grow and flourish for years to come.
I hope your involvement for the Fest was beneficial for your businesses and that you will consider being involved again next year for the 2015 Invermere MusicFest.
