The Best Seat in the House at Key City Theatre
This is not just a slideshow.
Ethan Russell will present a dynamic evening of non-stop stories, music and over 350 photographs, as a one-man multimedia performance.
Multiple Grammy Award nominated Ethan Russell is regarded as one of the foremost rock photographers in the world, and the only photographer to have shot album covers of The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, and The Who.
Ethan Russell hopped on a plane in the late 1960s with a camera and a passion to follow the music. This author, photographer, and director started his career with some great luck and a love of rock ’n’ roll that has resulted in some of the most legendary photos in the history of music.
From Russell’s early sessions with John Lennon and Mick Jagger, to the spectacular photos of the Rolling Stones Rock and Roll Circus tour, the entire recording sessions (and the cover) for The Beatles’ Let It Be, to the stories behind the iconic Who’s Next album cover, audiences will see the photos and hear the stories of a generation from his extraordinary vantage point of The Best Seat In The House.
Ethan Russell is presented in partnership with College of the Rockies, Cranbrook & District Arts Council and Key City Theatre, on Saturday, October 17 at 7:30 p.m.
Tickets are $35 | $29 for Key City Theatre members | $10 for college and secondary school students. Tickets are available at the Key City Theatre Box Office 250-426-7006 and online at www.keycitytheatre.com
