Wild Theatre opening with The Crucible

By Mary Hamilton

There are many upcoming events in Mount Baker Secondary School’s Wild Theatre this year.

The closest is the production of The Crucible by Arthur Miller; an intense drama chronicling the Salem Witch Trials. Auditions will be held Tuesday, September 8 from 3:30-5 p.m. in the Mount Baker drama room. The show will be performed November 26-29 at the Key City Theatre.

Further ahead, in March, all students are welcome to join Mrs. Hamilton and Mr. Paron on a spring break field trip to New York City. The trip includes three Broadway shows and plenty of artsy sights (including the Metropolitan Museum of Art and Radio City Music Hall). For more information, visit the Mount Baker Secondary web page.

The season’s finale will be a showing of the musical smash, Mary Poppins. The show runs May 5-8, 2016. Further details will be posted in months to come.
