Ashley’s Hope to Dream helps Cranbrook kids

Joey and Christine Hoechsmann, Ashley HomeStore licensee in Cranbrook, shares a happy moment with Lori McNeill Executive Director of the Cranbrook Boys and Girls Club, who recommended six deserving kids from the Boys and Girls Club program to receive six new beds this month from Ashley Homestore in Cranbrook.

They are just six of thousands of children who will be sleeping better at night thanks to a charitable program that was introduced to the Ashley Homestore licensees in 2011. It is called a Hope to Dream and provides free mattresses to underprivileged children around the country. So far this year, more than 3,000 beds have been distributed to children.

The program is now supported by more than 220 Ashley Furniture HomeStore around North America.

For every mattress sold at a participating store, the retailer donates $5 to a fund that supports the delivery of new mattresses to needy children.

“This time around we’re hoping to get even more new beds into children’s homes. For the month of December we will be featuring the Simmons Beauty Rest Black mattresses in our gallery; $100 from every ‘Black’ mattress sold, will be donated towards the Hope to Dream program for the Cranbrook and Kootenay area,” say’s Joey and Christine.

Referring a child for consideration to receive a mattress set is where we need your help to accomplish our mission. A Hope To Dream can only help a child get a good night’s rest if a caring person refers a child (ages 3-6) in need. In-store applications are being accepted at the Ashley Homestore in Cranbrook.
