Business Excellence Awards nominations open
The Cranbrook & District Chamber of Commerce 2015 Business Excellence Awards has kicked off with a call for nominations.
The Business Excellence Awards recognize and honour businesses, entrepreneurs, and organizations for their successes and contributions to the local economy and our community.
Now in its 24th year, the Cranbrook & District Chamber of Commerce Business Excellence Awards represent the highest business honours in the Cranbrook economic zone, culminating in the awards gala Saturday, April 11 at the St. Eugene Golf Resort & Casino.
“We have expanded the number of award categories from nine to 11 this year and modified existing ones to more closely align the awards with the economic profile in Cranbrook,” said Chamber Executive Director David D. Hull.
New categories include:
Non-Profit Organization; awarded to an organization, in any industry sector, that is a not for profit organization, society, or charity dedicated to making a difference.
Business Services Excellence; awarded to a company that provides services to businesses in the business to business environment.
Professional Services Excellence; awarded to a professional or company that provides services to individuals, groups, or businesses.
New Business of the Year; awarded to a business established in the last 3 years that is considered a rising leader in their business sector.
Young Entrepreneur of the Year; awarded to an outstanding entrepreneur age 30 and under that has distinguished themselves by building their own business or as part of management team of an existing business.
“Cleary the importance of recognizing excellence in the local business community is well recognized and received in Cranbrook,” said Hull. “I have been so impressed with the awards sponsors. Without exception every one contacted to change or alter their category came back with a resounding yes.”
Nominations are open to any business operating in the greater Cranbrook area.

The 2015 Business Excellence Awards will culminate with a spectacular gala evening at St. Eugene Resort.
Nominees will be recognized and the award recipient announced as part of a fantastic evening celebrating the Cranbrook business community.
