Integra Air adding flight to schedule

Integra Air is adding a flight to its Cranbrook service.

The company announced today (August 24) that is has revised its fall schedule from the Canadian Rockies International Airport to Edmonton International starting on September 19.

The revision will increase service between the two communities to four days per week – Monday to Thursday.

The increased service will also see the addition of a direct flight from Lethbridge to Cranbrook only on Monday mornings at this time. Service from Cranbrook to Lethbridge would still require routing through Edmonton.

“This is a very exciting and very positive announcement from Integra Air, and I wish to thank them for their support of this community and region,” stated City of Cranbrook Mayor Scott Manjak. “Continued growth in service and passenger numbers at the airport, reaffirms to our residents and visitors and certainly to me that our airport remains a very viable option in their travel plans.”

Dave Macfarlane of Integra said, “The support of the folks of the entire Kootenay region has been overwhelming. The number of passengers we are serving has been growing steadily, and we enjoy the two way communication that we have been able to build with a number of individuals and organizations. No doubt the ‘work together’ attitude that seems to be everywhere in the (region) will be the key to continued growth in frequency and capacity.”

Integra Air indicated in its original service plan to the Canadian Rockies International Airport in the spring that should passenger loads continue to grow, as they have been, the company would look at additional service expansion to five days per week for the winter season. Integra would also look at capacity increases by introducing a larger aircraft to service the route if demand supports the additional capacity, Macfarlane said.

Tristen Chernove, managing director at the Canadian Rockies International Airport said, “I’ve been very happy to see the loads pick up over the past six weeks. Adding additional frequency and modifying the flight times due to feedback received shows great commitment and responsiveness from Integra Air.”

The extra flight added is Monday, with the flight departing Cranbrook at 8:20 p.m. and arriving in Edmonton at 9:20 p.m.

In addition, there are two flights daily Tuesday to Thursday. Three flights depart Edmonton at 3 p.m. and arrive in Cranbrook at 4:20 p.m., two flights leave Cranbrook at 5:15 p.m. and arrive in Edmonton at 6:35 p.m. and on Thursday, there is a 4:45 p.m. departure from Cranbrook with a 6:05 p.m. arrival in Edmonton.
