Flash mob precedes light up

Cranbrook’s Rotary Park was once again the festive focal point for the end of the annual Santa Claus Parade Nov. 25, as hundreds were on hand to witness the lighting of the many Christmas lights in the park.

Preceding light up was a flash mob, which launched at 7:45 p.m. Dozens of local kids danced to the Black Eyed Peas as parade watchers and participants filed by.

According to Wikipedia, a flash mob is: “A flash mob (or flashmob) is a group of people who assemble suddenly in a public place, perform an unusual and sometimes seemingly pointless act for a brief time, then disperse, often for the purposes of entertainment, satire, or artistic expression. Flash mobs are organized via telecommunications, social media or viral emails.”

No plankers were trodden on.
