Mopar in the Mountains returns July 20/21
The Kootenay Child Development Centre (KCDC) fundraising committee is pleased to host the sixth annual Mopars in the Mountains Car Show, running this year on Friday, July 20 and Saturday, July 21 at Cranbrook’s Moir Park.
“Last year’s show had 150 entries and we hope this year will bring more cars and a larger audience. We are expecting classic car owners from the Cranbrook area, other areas of the province, Alberta, Saskatchewan and the northwestern United States,” reported Patricia Whalen, the KCDC’s Children First manager.
Friday night’s fun will feature a ‘Junk in Your Trunk’ swap meet as well as pre-registration and a drive-in movie.
On Saturday the car show runs from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., which includes (new this year) a ‘Sound Off’” competition sponsored by Custom Car and Sound, and another drive-in movie night. Come check out the cars, get a bite to eat and at the same time support the children and families of the East Kootenay.
