Thankful for our beautiful home

One of the best things about living in Canada is the prevalence of the four seasons. Their distinctiveness and power does not go unnoticed, especially in the East Kootenay.

The Rocky Mountains, to the east, and Purcell Mountains to the west, are divided by two great valleys – the Columbia and Kootenay. The variety of the vegetation growing in the region allows for some of the most spectacular autumn scenery and photography opportunities. The following photo display is a mere ‘passing by’ sample of the views in this region. These images were bagged between, before or after other photo shoots around the region between the start of fall, Sept. 22 and yesterday, Oct. 8.

It’s been a fairly moist and cool past week and the forecast for the upcoming week isn’t much better, unfortunately. Still – get out and enjoy our abundant natural beauty. A natural beauty that we at e-KNOW are most grateful for on this Thanksgiving weekend.

Happy Thanksgiving to all our readers, friends and family.
