FarmFolk CityFolk, in collaboration with the Kootenay & Boundary Farm Advisors, will be bringing the Mobile Seed Cleaner back to the Kootenay region from September 26th to the 30th with stops in Winlaw, Creston, Argenta, Nelson, and Grand Forks.
You are invited to contribute to seed security in your community by bringing your saved seeds to clean using the BC Seed Security Program seed cleaning equipment. FarmFolk CityFolk staff will be on hand to demonstrate and assist with our seed cleaning equipment as well as answer any questions related to seed production, seed cleaning, and seed security.
In addition to our seed cleaning dates we invite you to join us in Nelson on September 29th to taste test our CANOVI carrot breeding project. You can find us in the morning at the Kootenay Co-op from 11-3pm and at Pitchfork Eatery from 5pm-9pm for a Three Course Carrot Tasting Menu created by Chef Peter Leontowicz.
