Abducted girls found, mother arrested
RCMP have confirmed that the B.C. Amber Alert was de-activated at 5:20 p.m. as Trina Meisel, 12-year-old Talisha and six-year-old Taya have been located.
With the assistance of public tips and information, police were able tolocate them in Boston Bar, and all three were taken in police custody and care without issue.
Trina Meisel, 48, has been arrested in connection with two counts of Abduction under section 282(1) of the Criminal Code. She abducted the girls from their school near Vulcan, Alberta the morning of May 12.
The two girls are okay and investigators are working with the Ministry of Children and Family Development with respect to their care.
BC RCMP investigators also continue to work with Major Crime investigators in southern Alberta with respect to their investigation.
