Award recognizes unsung hero
Do you know of an unsung hero in Fernie?
Nominate your un-sung hero for the ‘George S. Majic Spiritus Award’ presented annually by the City of Fernie in memory of George Majic.
The award is for a citizen who enhances and honours community values that enrich the city community. It was inspired by George Majic’s family and friends in Sault Ste. Marie, Ont. as a way of honouring his life service.
Nomination forms are available at City Hall, 501 – 3rd Avenue during regular office hours 8 a.m. – 5 p.m. Deadline for submissions is Friday, November 13, at 5 p.m. Please return your nomination forms to City Hall.
