The public is invited to attend an Open House to provide feedback to the Provincial Environmental Assessment Office regarding the City of Fernie’s proposal to construct two groundwater supply wells in James White Park.  Application Information Requirement documents are available for review.
Why is this important to you?
Everyone requires quality, safe and secure water and during periods of high turbidity the city will have access to a secondary water source.

As we plan to become a Water Smart community we also need to plan for possible drought periods and Fairy Creek may not be able to meet future demands in the event of a one in 200 year drought.
Your feedback is required to understand public concerns and formulate solutions into the future.

The open house is Wednesday, Sept. 26, from 4:30 to 8:30 p.m. at City Hall 501 – 3rd Avenue (upstairs in council chambers).  Light refreshments will be served.
