Cranbrook RCMP Report
The following is a synopsis of calls received by Cranbrook RCMP for the week of (6 a.m.) Feb. 29 to 6 a.m., March 7.
The detachment received 140 calls for service throughout the week.
Among the calls police handled:
Five Immediate Roadside prohibitions (alcohol).
Four collisions, including two Hit and Runs and one fatality accident on Gold Creek Road. Other than fatal, all relatively minor.
Eight Mental Health calls with four apprehended in total.
Two assault complaints and none were domestic in nature.
11 thefts: three unfounded/ two bicycle thefts where bikes and scooters recovered/ suspect identified/ two thefts of the LED light bars.
Theft of 2010 White GMC Sierra 2500 with a tidy tank and dry box in the back.
Two break and enters with one residential, where most items have been recovered. One break and enter to a hotel room that resulted in arrest of a female with a number of warrants for her arrest.
Three fraud complaints; two were email scams.
Four drug seizures – mostly marijuana, with one substantial cocaine seizure.
