“We are pleased to announce that Donna Grainger was nominated not only by one committee, but by two different groups in the East Kootenay,” stated Chair of the Woman of the Year 2016 Committee for the CFUW Cranbrook Club, Cathryn Henley.

Celebrations will be held at the College of the Rockies Foyer on International Women’s Day, Tuesday, March 8 at 4 p.m. sharp. All former Women of the Year recipients, all friends, family and well-wishers are invited to this ceremony.

“Thank you to the Canadian Federation of University Women for this incredible honour. I am sincerely taken back to be recognized knowing how many incredibly talented and deserving women there are here in Cranbrook,” Grainger stated on Facebook. “To my mom, you may not be standing at my side but your glow is showing in the heavens; this one is for you, love you tons.”
