First Mid Summer Night’s Market July 27

The Cranbrook Farmers’ Market is preparing to host its first ever evening market.

“We are working with the Cranbrook and District Arts Council, to create a special evening market, which will feature local area vendors offering locally made, baked and grown products, alongside music, visual arts and spoken word performances in Rotary Park,” stated Erna Jensen-Shill, Farmers’ Market manager.

“This market will provide the opportunity for those who normally work, or are out of town on Saturdays to come down and check out the market, as well as provide another chance for those who love the market to be able to come down and enjoy it,” she explained.

The Mid Summer Night’s Market runs from 5:30 – 9:30 p.m., Wednesday, July 27 (set up from 4:30 – 5:30 p.m.) at Rotary Park in downtown Cranbrook.

“Businesses in the area also being encouraged by the Downtown Business Association to stay open late on this evening, to lend more atmosphere and ‘buzz’ to the downtown area for the night,”  Jensen-Shill said.
