Cranbrook Health Care Auxiliary and Thrift Store Volunteers recently presented a cheque for $552,790 to Christine Shumka, Director of Health Services, Acute for the East Kootenay Regional Hospital (EKRH). The money will be used to purchase much needed equipment for the hospital.

Some of the equipment being purchased this year include: a Multi CR Reader for the Diagnostic Imaging Department for $84,700; two 5 MM 30 degree scopes for the O.R. for $81,600; and console upgrades for the D. I. Department for $48,500.

The Cranbrook Health Care Auxiliary has contributed over $4.3 million in the past 13 years purchasing equipment for the EKRH.
